About us
D alit Youth Alliance is set up with the aim to build a broad network of those youths who are engaged and exercising their efforts to ensure equality, dignity and equal rights for all, especially from Dalits, underrepresented socially excluded communities and all who believe in a just society. DYA provides platform for youths to debate, interact and discuss on social exclusion/inclusion and caste based discrimination and atrocities which still prevail in our society.
Y DYA always believe in peace and democracy. So, the better understanding of equality and social justice among every citizen is the fundamental principle of democracy; it also works for democratic stabilization that is why DYA envision seeing democracy ‘inclusive’. Caste based discrimination continues to be deeply entrenched in the Nepalese society and also in India. Dalits in many parts of the country are still subjected to the ugliest form of discrimination -‘untouchability’.
A DYA aims to abolish caste and race based discrimination in all its manifestations, by strengthening youths and their capability to establish a society where Dalit, oppressed, depressed, and socially excluded all underrepresented communities live with dignity have equal opportunity and social and economic opportunity. That would helpful to carry forward the movement of Dalit and social justice and also an opportunity for youths to be part of it.
